The Essex Squash League (ESL) provides opportunities for clubs to play each in a competitive format. The season is spread across two leagues, notably the Autumn-Spring League & the Summer League.
In the Autumn-Spring League, teams are spread across three divisons. There is a Premier Division where the best players compete for the coveted title of the best club in Essex. The current holders of the 2024/25 league are Maldon. Beneath the Premier Division is there are two divisions of equal standing, East Division and West Division.
Following a rule change at the 2025 AGM, the fixtures for the Autumn-Spring league are played as following; Premier Division on Monday evenings, West Division on Tuesday evenings and East Division on Thursday evenings.
The Summer League has fewer matches with teams spread across four divisions.
In addition, the Essex Cup is held each year where clubs can compete for one of three trophies.

Summer League East Division: Lexden 2
Summer League West Division: Walthamstow Red
